I am going to say the Lakers, the celtics lost some vital players in there roster like james posey and I heard Sam Cassel might retire(proply a rumore) and who can repeat back 2 back great seasons?

The lakers have Pau Gasol and Lamar odem, and they are going to have them through the whole season and not just half, so they will build chemestry and maybe get home court advantage because they will win games from the start, unlike last years where they got on fire at the end because they got Pau Gasol, and they will prbly make another trade during the season.

I'm going to start about the Celtics. Obviously, last year, many people doubted the Celtic's possibility of beating the Lakers because of being old. That didn't stop them last year, it's not gonna stop them from trying this year. But the only change they made this year was lose James Posey... Obviously they're getting older (even though it doesn't make much of a difference). With the recent acquisition of Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers, the Heat are probably the contender in the East over the Celtics, Pistons, and 76ers.

The Finals is probably going to be Miami Heat vs NO Hornets/SA Spurs. NO Hornets are going to be better with James Posey. But Chris Paul only has played one season in the playoffs, while the Spurs have played for many seasons, we'll have to see how the Hornets do against them. I do believe the Hornets will go on to win in about 6 or 7 games. And Heat having the new "Big 3" of the East, will go on to win the NBA championship.

edit- Cheno, Lakers are not helping their roster defensively, and are going to lose to Houston early. But the Spurs and Hornets are still better than the Lakers.

These teams in each conference has a legitimate shot at the playoffs and the championship, but there is no crystal ball that can tell who's going to win. Even though all the Lakers "fans" seem to have one.
