  1. I would say footballer's. They both need explosiveness, and both have that. However, footballers have the endurance edge as they play to a "running clock", the game never stops aside from halftime and bookings. Basketball has frequent stoppages in play, along with more substitutions.

  2. Soccer requires a lot more athleticism and coordination. I played both and soccer is the more difficult out of the two. In basketball certain players can dominate for example 7 ft 300lbs and not be athletic. In soccer you must be quick, agile, and have a lot of stamina.

  3. Not even a question. Soccer players are way more athletic than basketball players

  4. Basketball. Players can do more moves in basketball than soccer. It takes a lot of athleticism to do those high-flying dunks and acrobatic shots.

  5. I always notice that basketball players are usually 400M runners

and soccer players are usually 800M runners.

There's definitely a greater emphasis on sprinting stamina in basketball as opposed to a longer distance stamina in soccer, if that makes sense.  Players from both sports seem to be more lean than bulky.  They also seem to require the same amount of quickness with basketball needing a little more lateral movement.  Neutral (based on playing both)

In my opinion, the foot/eye coordination needed to control a soccer ball is a helluva lot harder to control as opposed to the hand eye coordination in dribbling a basketball (I'm predominantly a basketball player, btw).  +1 soccer

I give the advantage to basketball players though because of the fact that it's generally players over 6'6 that are making those athletic movements on the court, which is a lot more impressive to me.

  6. It's hard to compare because there are many different aspects of athleticism and soccer players and basketball players have different strengths and weaknesses. Personally, I play both and I would have to give it to soccer because I am always more tired after a game of soccer rather then basketball.

  7. Hands Down Soccer players!

Not that basketball players aren't athletic. It's just soccer players have got to run FULL BLAST all through out the game. No standing around no dribble, dribble. :D

Just LOOK at David Beckham! There is your answer!

  8. I love both. But i seriously think that soccer players are. They need to  be moving two 45 minute halfs at all times. They dont get subbed out and then get to go back in.

But again i love both sports..

  9. soccer players, they play for 90 minutes while basketball players play 48.

you do the rest of the math.

  10. Soccer requires more endurance as basketball requires more short bursts of speed and strength.

  11. Basketball is more athletic, soccer might be more aerobic, but not more athletic. Playing soccer, you have a ton of time to rest, go watch a game or even on tv, 3-3 people are active while the rest wait in there zones, when the ball comes your direction then hit the gas, then stop and break etc.

Basketball also you can take a break, but  not as long as you can standing there in soccer, sure a few plays in basketball you can take easy on some scores or def but keep in mind best athletes play basket ball and football then track, baseball then math class then soccer.

  12. Easily soccer players. Answer me this, are you more physically tired after soccer or basketball

  13. hard to tell u
