and dont say lechoke james he plays in the minor league eastern conference.dont get me wrong hes a good player but until he gets a good jumpshit like deron willliams and kobe hes not an mvp race to me. i really think no east player should win mvp b/c they play weaker conpetion then the west players.

i say if the west is half as good as it was last year then the mvp should go to the best player on the best team.which i think will either be the hornets or lakers,but i think the lakers will win the conference by a game or 2.

I'm sticking with Kobe again because the Lakers will have the best record in the West with the addition of Andrew Bynum in the line up. The Lakers can only improve from last year because of Bynum and Kobe will be right in the middle of the MVP talk again because of their record. The Lakers are due to make a big run with their powerful line up. Kobe will facilitate the offense even more this coming up year than last. I know CP3 is good and his team will be one of the top also but so is Kobe Bryant team but the Lakers will win the West overall best record and that's the MVP clincher for him.

"minor league eastern conference?" If you watched the playoffs..the western conference was decided with only one series going 7 games, there was far more competition in the east.

Not only that..but the top two records by far in the NBA were in the east..LA was several games back from detroit and boston and was only a game or half a game..cant remember..ahead of the spurs and hornets.

Kobe Bryant will only have a chance at MVP if he doesn't keep sliding back into his "Kobe Show" and plays the team ball that got the lakers to the finals.

I'd say LeBron James..just because he's an all-around player (if you look at the cavs team leaders..he's about half of the categories..assists..steals..points..FG%...

LeBron, Kobe, or CP.  East is no longer a definite weaker conference after the easts best just manhandled the wests best in the final.  And thats not gonna impact who gets mvp.

I think Bynum will develop and Kobe's numbers won't be enough to win MVP again. I think Chris Paul is the favorite and LeBron and D12 could have a chance.
