who's taller? a dwarf or a midget?

The dictionary definition of a midget is an extremely small person; of a dwarf, a person of abnormally small stature, especially one with a normal-sized head and body but short limbs. From this, one would gather that a dwarf would usually be taller than a midget.

The dictionary also notes that the term "person of restricted growth" is now preferred. Many people affected by dwarfism, however, refer to themselves as Little People.

One is not necessarily shorter than the other.  The difference between the two is that a midget is small but everything is in proportion so all of their limbs are small as is their head and torso.  A dwarf has certain parts of the body that are small but others that are normal size, usually the limbs are small but the head is normal size & appears to be too big for the body.  They are not totally in proportion.
