Steve Nash would be the best if he wasn't such a defensive liability.  Your top three right now are (in no particular order):

Steve Nash

Chris Paul

Deron Williams

Of the three, Nash is the best shooter, most reliable in fourth quarter play, and the most creative.  Sure, Paul, averages more assists, but Steve Nash finds his teammates at consistently impossible angles.  

However, I think Paul is number one right now.  He is the best at controlling the pace of a game, even though he tends to choke in crunchtime.  Defensively he is definitely an asset as well.

Im gonna stay tight and say Jason Kidd or Deron Williams. There's always a reason why something happens, and the reason why Kidd started over Williams and Paul in Team USA is because of his leadership, skill, and international experience. You gotta have the smarts and the skill of Kidd's triple-double threat body to match up with him. Deron is just a better CP3 in the making, and of course, if I'm not mistaken, I think he's played much better and has taken more minutes from Coach-K this year.

Kidd is a veteran player. Meanwhile, Chris Paul and Deron Williams are great point guards and they are young. So, they still have time to built a team and win a NBA title very soon.

allen iverson was the best, but steve nash took that from him 3 years ago. then this season chris paul took that from him, so right now its chris paul, but it could change

Chris Paul because he has all-around skills. He's quick and he has a point guard mentality. He's also young so he's only getting better.
