Whos the best running back to pick if points per reception counts?

the top 3 in receptions last year was Westbrook, Reggie Bush, and LT in that order.

I would take any of those.

I think Joseph Addai.  He will have a great year.  With Peyton Manning coming back from injury he will be more inclined to get rid of the ball quicker.  This is where Addai will benefit.

Brian Westbrook hands down...he can run he can catch and he will always find the endzone

Most people would think westbrook..

but people forget about 3 years ago LT caught 100 passes..

LT is the best hands down

It's still LT... He gets a ton of carries, and will still catch 50 passes this year...

Westbrook moves up to 2nd on my draft board if it's a PPR league... Just remember that he's NEVER played a full 16 game season...

Trendy picks aside, the smart choice is still quite easily LT.

Apart from being the one back in the league who is assured of 400 touches, unlike other workhorse backs (Looking at you Jamal Lewis) he is also an excellent receiver.

Westbrook hops in at the second position.

If thinking for the future (keeper), steven jackson and joseph addai are also very capable of catching 50+ balls out of the backfield, while frank gore also jumps into the discussion when healthy.

Finally, do not forget the wunderkind Adrian Peterson.  While the receptions might appear mediocre, one must consider that he was removed from 3rd down situations because of poor pass protection technique.  He is actually an excellent reciever, and with progressing pass-blocking, he looks to be on the field a good deal longer.
