whos the fastest skater in the NHL that also makes an impact for there team?

I know Steve Sullivan for my predators is REALLY fast and is also a great player, but other than that whos fast?

Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning certainly has a fast pair of legs on him. He also racks up quite bit of points.

Patrick Marleau should have won the speed skating competition last year in the all star game.

duncan keith, he participated in the fastest skate competition and won by a landslide but is times got messed up and said he lost to whoever he went up against so he didnt get to move on. he would have won it had that not have happened

the fastest ever is Valari Kharlamov do not give thumbs down for this answer this guy was like superman if he played today he still would be the fastest 4 seconds end to end with puck.

I know he did not play NHL but for today it depends on the pace of the game and how much space the player has to skate with the puck.

Mike Gartner was fast also.
