  1. It is the consensus that Willie 'the' Hopp was the all-time best Billiard player. Won more world titles than any other player.

Second question: Up for grabs. There's this gal that can wrap between 30-35 presents per hour at Dollar General every Christmas. She has won the Wrappers contest three years running.

She likes to keep a low profile... so don't spread it around.

  2. I know a lot of people have referred to Willie Hoppe, but I was doing a little research and it seems that Welker Cochran is an often overlooked player.  This is of course assuming that we're discussing carom games.  Robert Byrne has written a lot about Cochran and if I remember correctly, a lot of his achievements actually outshine those of Hoppe.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  3. Me! I am the mac daddy of underground rap! Fo shizzle

  4. Jay, could you be more obvious??? Way to blow my cover!! Jeez. I'M AWESOME!! THE BEST WRAPPER EVER!! May as well let it out now...

Umm, I don't know...an hour and a half? I'm an hour from Greensboro, and Thomasville is sort of on the way but you have to get off the highway and drive a bit...Maybe just an hour?

  5. One person few people mention if they know he existed was Don Willis. Search the web and see some of the things he did. He could crush most of the people being made heroes of in his time:

On a "home" table he knew well, he beat a series of the best straight pool players in the world - including Mosconi 125-65. Maybe it was not among his best of nights, but Willie probably regretted missing a shot.

  6. Willie hoppe and santas elves? They just keep getting stranger and stranger and.................................Is Eminem an elf? I'm just confused.

  7. Yeah Willie H sounds about right

The guy that was reading me the rules off a peice of notebook paper last week might be a contender made bout as much sense-no it aint like that my kids love it i  just dont understand most of it

  8. you will have to be a bit more specific as to what you call billiards.in true billiards,(played with 2 white balls and 1 red) the greatest player ever was Walter Lindrum, an Australian who played in the 1930's and 40's.this guy was so good he almost killed the game as no one could beat him.

in the American version of billiards (which includes 8-ball, 9-ball, straight pool, and all the variations there of)  Willie Mosconi would have to be close to the top, but there are many, many others that could be said to be as good or better.the problem is that the more well known (or legitimate)

tournament players whom the public recognises, may not have been the best players around, as many great players stayed underground, playing cash games,(as in the hustler, and the colour of money), and did not compete publicly, and so cannot be compared to those who are actually recorded on film, or other records
