I haven't heard that but is is based purely on statistics that show more then half the crime being done by poor intercity black males.  However, some other group (whoever took their place in the economic strata - possibly poor intercity whites) would just take their place.  It is a meaningless statistic because it doesn't deal with the why.

Now, some years past when he was in the cast of SNL, Eddie Murphy stated in a skit that if there were no black people, there wouldn't be any sports except (made a face and spoken with contempt) hockey but that was done in jest.

thats racist, there are many white males who commit crime everyday, it just depends on where you live
