Um....Hulk Hogan wrestled in pre-scripted events where every punch and kick was fake.  He was promoted as an action figure and a brand name because WWF / TNA is all choreographed.  Hogan was less talented than other fake wrestlers in his league, he just had a good promoter.  Hulk Hogan was bald with goofy looking facial hair.

That would be Kimbo, hands down.  He's still a brawler, everyone else you mentioned is well-trained.

When he was discovered, Hogan was a bodybuilder with no actual wrestling ability.  Lou Thesz once said that Hogan "didn't know a wristlock from a wristwatch" but that he had charisma, so it's actually a valid comparison.  Thesz on the other hand was known as a "hooker", someone who could not only wrestle but apply painful, potentially crippling submissions or "hooks" (as in a worm on a hook isn't going anywhere) just in case the other guy decided he wasn't  going "follow the script".  But I digress.

In summation, Hogan: massive charisma, huge media star, no actual wrestling ability to speak of.  Kimbo, charisma, internet media star, still mostly a brawler.

How does Hulk Hogan and "professional" wrestling have anything to do with MMA?

I think Faber and Pulver are a couple of the best fighters, along with BJ Penn, though, to get to a different question, that being, who is the best fighter in MMA currently.
