Who`s your favourite tennis player, male and female ?

Reasons for your answers please.

Men: all time would be Sampras and current is Djokovic. I also like Rafa a lot :)

Sampras had much tougher competition. His competition was way better than people like Roddick, Blake, Davydenko, etc. Only guys like Nadal and Djokovic (and Nalby at times) can be compared to the kind of competition Sampras had to face. Rafa and Nole are very young so it's anybody's guess what they might accomplish by the time they are done.

Women: All time is Steffi Graf and current is Sharapova.

male:ROGER FEDERER I think he is the best player in tennis history.he has a lot of tecniques.he is really experienced.if you see his matches you understand that he can return to the match in an incredible way.so that is why he is my favouriote tennis player.

female:I really don't know who is my favouriote tennis player in women.but I  think shaprova & henin have good futures.

Male: Roger Federer, He has an all-court game and is simply the best (he is the only player with Nadal that make a match fun and exciting to watch)

Female: Maria Sharapova, she won 3 titles so far this year and to me, plays perfect tennis. She has a magnificent serve and backhand. She is still young (only 21) and has plenty of time to get even better and add alot of grand slam titles to her current 3 (Wimbledon, US open and Australian)

Male - Andy Roddick, I like his attitude toward the game.  He clearly has had fun with his career, and he knows he has to work very very hard just to keep up with the current kings of the sport - Nadal and Federer.  And, he's very devoted to the US Davis Cup team, which I admire.

Female - Ana Ivanovic, she's fun to watch, will be Top 5 for a very long time, and has a great heart - both about tennis and about her charity work outside the game.

Roger Federer is my favourite player, because he achieved a lot within a short span of time. He made it to the10 grandslam finals in a row, won 12 Grandslams, 54 trophies and has been the number 1 for 4 years. The best part is he is modest about his achievements, does not brag about it and is respectful towards his opponents. Roger and Rafa acknowledge each other's greatness and that is why they deserve to be called champions. Roger has been through so much lately, but he never gave up, and had the courage to make it to the finals at Monte Carlo. He just lost to the best claycourt player, and Rafa deserves credit for that achievement.

Amongst females, Steffi Graf was pretty dominating in her times, and lately Ana Ivanovich seems to be doing a good job and has the makings of a champion.

Male: Roger Federer. He has won 12 grand slams. He is a nice guy, not a jerk, emotional (even though he doesn't show it much on the court, he is a great player.) That match that he lost to Nadal in Monte Carlo he had to swallow it, but I think he is close on beating Nadal. Remember usavenita4, well I changed it to usavenita. Sorry if I said Nadal is an a*****e, is just that I get upset when I see players deserve to win, and they lose it to Nadal. It happens to Federer a lot when he plays Nadal for some reason, but yes Nadal is a great clay court player.

Female: Justine and Sharapova. Nice girls. Justine's title to win is Wimbledon, which has deluded her. Both are mentally strong, and fight, and that's what great about them.

In the past, I loved Agassi (now retired). He was the one of the best players who actually managed to win Roland Garros.

I like them both because of their versatility, there amazing sense of style and appreciation for fashion. I also enjoy their personalities, Federer cool and easy-going, always polite and a gentlemen. Serena she's stylish, has so much heart and fight in her and she never gives up no matter the circumstances. Plus their always fun to watch, whenever their on, I NEVER change the channel, I watch their matches from beginning to end, I like othets but I change the channel allot with them lol. Whatever tournament they play I pick them to win it all, there my favorite's of the present.

he's the best claycourt player, and one of the best players in grass and hard courts as well... he's not losing his temper in his matches... has mental, physical and psychological strength in his game...

female-sharapova

she's a fighter! she's not easily losing her temper as well.. one of the best grass and hard court players... improved so much (for me) in clay courts... even with an injury last year, he reached SF of French Open...

hope sharapova and nadal (esp. nadal) wins the 2008 French Open!

Daniela Hantuchova (SVK) --- I loved watching her matches... i followed her game since Aussie open 2003.

Juan Carlos Ferrero (ESP) ---- He moves well on court....And I love watching him on court too.
