Whose bright idea was it to have the raiders play opening day same as opening ceremony for the Olympics?

Doesn't the NFL realize that at least a few fans of the Raiders want to watch the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics? Who in the NFL, in their right mind, set up that game?

The NFL realizes that most football fans don't care about the opening ceremony of the Olympics or Beijing. Which one to watch is a no-brainer. We've been waiting all year for football to start!

It's the Olympic ceremony, Big BFD. You wont miss any of the competition. Just a bunch of athletes walking a round a field and the lighting of the torch. What kind of raider fan are you anyway, better get your priorities strieght.

cuz its not about other athletic events once football season starts  im sure fans or the players are not thinkin oohhhh im gonna miss the pole vault i would rather see see football thn then olympics

Because everyone could care less about the raiders. It shows you that the NFL likes the chiefs more than the raiders because the chiefs first game is on thursday an the raiders is on Friday so nobody will watch it.

i love the RaiderHaters!!!!  AlDavis has done more for the NFL than ANYONE involved in whatever team YOU like!!!  thats fact,,,not my opinion,, hall of fame thinks so too,,thats why OUR owner is there and YOURS is NOT!!!!!!

Do you really think Raider Nation cares about the Olympics?????  It is football season.   The Olympics are not what they use to be.  Would you rather see 200 people whose names you can't say walk around and wave or see McFadden run over somebody and take it to the house from 50 yards away!!!! I am watching DMC!!!!!
