She is currently in the middle of a 6 year debt management programme run by the Consumer Credit Councelling Service.

You are sooooooo not alone. I am a consumer debt educator. Bankruptcy courts are jammed with individuals owing 20K or more in unsecured debt.

The question is, why do you think you owe more than 20K in credit card debt?
