  1. the rugby sevens is a weekend tournament taking place on the 26th/27th May 2007. The tournament involves 16 teams who start in four groups of four on the saturday, and progress (or not) to a knockout round on sunday. The final will be played at about 6pm local time in the sunday.

As the tournament starts and finishes over the course of the weekend, it cannot yet be said who will be in the final. Technically, it could be any of the 16 teams who will star, although the weaker rubgy nations are unlikely to win the competition.

Last year's winners can be found on several websites, including wikipedia, as can the current standings in the rugby sevens world cup, which is made up of several events over the course of the season. The teams at the top of the ranking are most likely to feature in the final, though this isn't guaranteed.

If you have tickets and want to know which teams you will see play, you will see every team play on both days (i think).

  2. The final was played on Sunday May 20th before a near-capacity crowd at the 82,000-seat redeveloped Twickenham in London. London Wasps defeated Leicester Tigers 25-9, denying Tigers the domestic and European treble.

  3. sevens is a 2 day tournament that is awesome to watch, there will be 16 teams playing nonstop games, my bets on samoa and new zealand in the final, but i wouldnt count out fiji
