To be honest, I was a huge fan of both men but I believe I was rooting for HBK. If it had been a couple year prior, it probably would've been Bret. Both are great wrestlers...

I do feel Bret held a grudge over the incident for longer than he should have but.. it happens.

At the time I was on HBK's side too, since Bret at the time was an anti-American heel when they feuded in 1997. As far as the screwjob, I'm on Vince's side. Bret should have done business and dropped the title without complaint.

Although I am Canadian, and I like Bret, I have to say that I was on Michael's side. It's not because of the Anti-American gimmick either (because that was the idea of one Vince "Idiot" Russo) and not Bret's idea. I blame Vince Russo, not Vince McMahon as the true a*****e that made Bret leave.

I was a bret hart fan then...but the torched needed to past some how...but bret hart didnt want to past the torch...HBK i thought was kinda of pushed a little too hard then, but look at him now, his longivity and legacy he has left is one for the ages..going from a pretty boy rocker...to a bona fide superstar...

Bret the Hitman Hart of course. Chris Jericho was right when he talked about Shawn Michaels being a whining crybaby who refused to sell for opponents, refused to lose matchs, came up with phantom injuries and all in all was a prima donna during the 1990's. He's a much better human being now and I have a lot more respect for him now than I did during the 1990's.
