  1. In my opinion, JL W7s. By far.

  2. JL Audio and Kicker are in a class way above JBL...  I have to believe that either a kicker Solobaric or a JL 12w7-3 is rated at 1000w RMS @ 3 ohm and with very little harmonic distortion  would be the hardest hitting.. Match it up with an amp that can push it and look out.

  3. its tough to say but based on just bang it will be jl audio then kicker then jbl...but if you compare bang for buck then kicker will out do jl audio because of 40 to 50 percent lower price....thus if you want the most bang and u have an unlimited budget go with JLA but if you have to keep your cost under control then go with kicker..

  4. Personal opinion.

I've owned JLs and Kickers and they both beat real hard.  I do believe the  JLs had better quality but the kickers might have hit a little harder.

Goto a store and listen to them.

It also depends on the model / enclosure and amp you give them

  5. JL AUDIO is awesome....You get what you pay for....Quality #1

  6. It all depends on the models you are comparing.

I don't think anyone is giving JBL enough credit here. JBL may not have the loudest subs, but they have good sound quality.

If all you're looking for is a lot of sound for a fair price, go with Kicker. I think they sound like a$$, but they put out a lot of sound.

JL subs have real good sound quality and they put out a lot of SPL. In my opinion they are ONE of the best subs on the market. The drawback is the price for JL equipment.

  7. JL Audio

  8. JL Audio is definitely a hard hitter with the W7 series subs.  The solo's and L7's from the kicker series are very decent as well.  JBL is ok...for a budget.

IMO the JL audio w7 series is where it is at.  Gives you best of both worlds.  SPL and SQ.  It is one of the most decent subs for it's size.  Very deep rich base but not sacrificing Sound Quality.  Get the right spec for the woofer and you have a great sounding Sub.

Now if you were willing to throw in other subs in there for the Subs that BEAT the hardest, you might look into DD (Digital Designs subs), RE Audio (Resonant Engineering) and Fi (Fi car audio subs).  Those subs BEAT HARDDDDDDDD.  Specially the higher end subs.  I have had a RE Audio x*x 12"  and thats a beast....it's an SPL/SQ (or SQL) Sub, but that thing kills most of the woofers around...but does come with a hefty price tag (this sub alone weighs around....if i remember correctly like 80 pounds. shipped to me from factor the shipping crate and sub was 90 pounds.)  I've also owned a Fi BTL 12" Loaded sub, extra magnet and all the works...Amazing!  Their FI Q sub hits hard as well...ment more for SQ...but hits hard none the less.

Anyway Fi's prices are hard to beat for their series woofer...In fact the Subs retail wise are cheaper than JL.   12" Fi BTL loaded runs UNDER 500 easily.  JL w7 series is....If I remember correctly around 750 for one....RETAIL.  Of course ebay is another route to take...but you get what you pay for....
