Question:

Whould betta fish be ok with my bichirs?

i have a 20 gallon long tank, 3 bichirs, one 5 inch(baby Devil) and two 3 inch (twin dragon) would putting a betta fish in be ok? or mayb not? since its slow?

  2. From what I have read, you really should not put a betta fish in with any other fish, as they are fighting fish and will probably cause problems.

    Even putting them in a bowl where they can see another fish, or putting a mirror next to them causes them lots of stress because they are in "fight mode" all the time.

  4. Don't ever put a Beta in with any other fish!!!  It's been said that you can put a male & female Beta in the same tank, but I went along with that idea and came out with a dead male Beta.  Beta are "fighting fish" and will fight with any other fish, usually 'til the death.
