  1. It would appear to mean if you allowed students to pray out loud during school it would lead to everything from students praying at lunch time to student essays and discussions on religious beliefs during class time.


  2. This is an argument AGAINST one form of suggested permissible prayer in public schools. While there is no objection to private prayer that others are not privy to, there is expressed fear that such a privilege might extend to actual services in schools led by students.

    One would think that such permission could easily be carefully worded so as to preclude such "public" prayer in schools and restrict praying to truly private activity.
