Love in every aspect is definitely necessary. Once you learn how to love yourself, and understand what you want in life...what else is better than sharing your LOVE and life with someone else. You love your family so you can have a sense of safety, or completion. Your family can make you feel whole, but when its time for you to make a family is when you need to love another to help keep your life going. Not everyone needs somebody, but if you want to extend your life and have kids...then you need to love. And so i believe its definitely necessary.

Love is absolutely neccessary. Without it this world would be even more messed up. No one would care for the those in need, the sick, the dying. Everyone would be cheaters, ruthless, dishonest because no loves themselves or anyone else and noone would care what anyone else did.

I don't think people "need" romantic love.  But love from family and friends is neccessary.  What a lonely existence to have no one care for you and vice versa.
