  1. dont pay close attention to the reply from 1st guy

even though he says tht they are being used less commonly they  are the most important factor in getting accepted to college

and the SATs originate from US so u should reconsider them

  2. Retake it or stick with it. It may influence what kind of university you can get into. However, the SAT's are being used less and less as an evaluation. It's the whole package the schools are interested in.

  3. u either retake it or apply to a second-tier university

  4. you'll be in a lower group but if your teacher doen't agree with your score that shouldn't matter

  5. If you get a low SAT score, there is no way to get rid of it. Colleges will see it if you send ANYTHING from the College Board to them (SAT IIs etc.) The only way for colleges to not see it is if you don't use anything you've ever taken with the College Board and only rely on the ACT, unless a school doesnt use standardized tests in its admissions.

I'd recommend retaking. There is no reason why you cant do better the next time, so just study up for it, try your best, and hope that your score on at least one section was higher than the last so that your effort was worth it. Also try the ACT - some people do better on it than the SAT. A friend of mine got a 34 on the ACT but he just can't break a 1400 on the SAT, so you might be someone who would do better on a different test as well.
