if u want to play and get good the only thing is to practice---u dont need math to shoot pool. just a good line of site. if u have a pool table try all the hard shots first leave the easy ones there for last.and practices your cuts----making cuts are key in the game.if you can get that down youll get better---and try to practise with someone who knows how to shot----they can teach u different ways to shot.------------but the real key is never give up. just keep trying and soon u well get it down pat.

Start with geometry and physics and learn to play 3 shots "down the road".

Spending a lot of time around the table, que control is the first thing you need to learn. You can't go on a run if you can't control the que ball.  And don't bet money you don't have that never turns out well.

Practise practise practise... if you can find a good player to play against who is willing to help you, all the better, enter pool comps as much as possible and watch the other players. Natural talent is a bonus, but the more you play the better you will become. A friend of mine always used to rave about a one-armed player who used to clean up on the tables, so there are no limitations as long as you are willing to get out there and give it a go. good luck buddy :-)
