A sense of nervousness and uncertainty ...

To get lost ...

Crowded hallways ...

Teachers introducing themselves and talking about class policies ...

and that's about it.

It's not too different from the first day of, say, 7th or 8th grade in middle school... the only difference is that it's a new school and new people.. sort of like 6th grade. It'll get easier. Trust me. :-D

Expect an interesting day. For the most part, everybody will be like new ducklings. Some will find their way fast, while most will get lost at least once on their way to class. First day, try and approach at least one person just so you don't seem like a loner. If you have a lot of friends from middle school, then that's great. If not, that's ok. Not a big deal. Just relax and enjoy the moment. Try and avoid cliques and groupies as it will usually lead to nothing but distractions.

a lot of teachers yapping, nasty seniors with bad attitude, nervous freshman, busy hallways...and thats pretty much it.

during your classes, youll probably do alot of ice breakers to get to know your teachers and your fellow students. most teachers jsut go over the requirements and rules of the class youre taking. you wont get hit with hard work on the first 2-3 days, just the basic stuff. dont sweat, itll go by quick, and youll get the hang of it quickly.
