  1. most boxes are made with 3/4 because it is cheeper, and keeps the box from getting too heavy.

    some woofers require 1" wood.   JLw7, MTX jack hammer, Boston SPG555, Kicker Solo X, etc/

    If you have a woofer that is Over 1000 RMS, really expensive  like over $500.00 and heavy, use 1 inch.

    Any other woofer, (like 98% of all woofers) use 3/4
