Whta is the link between Alzhiemers and prion aggregation and/or disease?

i am writting a scientific paper on this possible connection, i need this explained to me simply but scientifically, as my lecturer says i seem confused and rather than talking about alzhiemers i cant draw a line and see the difference between this neurodegenerative disease and BSE CJD Spongy epiform Kuru etc.

please help!

The outward symptoms may look the same to the layperson, but there are different proteins involved and the diseases have a different biochemistry and a different pathology.   Check out these things for each disease, and you will have your paper.

I know someone who got TSE Crutchfield-Jacob’s disease (and died in about 1 month!) and have also known several people with Alzhiemers (who linger for years).  Totally different things going on.
