  1. More specifically, antibiotic resistance is the ability of a bacteria to be less affected by a specific antibiotic.  Note the less.  Most bacteria, even if they have an antibiotic resistance to something, will be killed by it if there is enough of that antibiotic around.  They generate this resistance by uptaking a plasmid with the resistance gene.  This plasmid is separate from their genome, and therefore transferable, making it possible for this resistance to spread.


  2. This means that your body does not take antibiotics. Meaning body no like medicine... duhhh.......

  3. This is when microbes lose their sensitivity to certain antibiotics (an example of microevolution).
