Why, when you shine a lazer into something reflective, and you am for the dot itself, You get it in the eye?

  1. Because where you see the dot is the path of your view back to the light beam axis. Merge both and the path of the beam is exactly collinear with your angle of view, i.e. your are aiming at your eye though the reflecting surface.


  2. Um... Don't do that.

    Read the warning on the laser:

    "Warning! Do not look into laser with remaining good eye."
