Because the UFC doesn't take care of all the fighters. For instance, even after Randy held the heavyweight title and Chuck lost two in a row... the UFC continued to pay Chuck way more money. He was tired of bein jacked around financially and found out, after guest appearing on shows like The Unit, that there is way more money in acting and you don't risk permanent injury. Sounds like a "win win" for Randy.  Randy will more than likely fight again, but it will probably be for an organization that will pay him better for putting his health and his body on the line.

Thats a good question. But a better on is why is he a homo in that jail movie BIG STAN?

That's why he was taking a break from fighting, to make that movie, some fighters are doing movies in order to have something to fall upon, when they are done fighting.

If I was asked to be in the Scorpion King 2 for 500K to a million dollars, I'd do it.  Randy got paid decently for the UFC, but his body takes a toll from that.

Maybe he needed something to do. Hasn't fought in about a year. He probably got bored.
