Why's there a zipper on the inside the bottom of suitcases?

Wanting to know what the purpose of the zipper at the bottom of suitcase's is for?

  3. My suitcase has 6 different zippers in and out. One of the zippers is for expanding the size and the rest are for different compartments.........like putting papers in a safe place, or your delicate underware.....just anything you want to keep separate from anything else.......Now it is not good to keep valuables in your suitecase as you are not allowed to lock your suitecase and it might get stolen , you keep all valuables with you.

  4. It serves two purposes: -

    If your suitcase has a retracting handle/wheels it can allow access to replace the parts if they get damaged.

    Mainly it's there so that customs officers can check that you haven't hidden anything beneath the suitcase liner; without a zip they would have to tear or cut the liner to check.
