Why Am I Being Stalked?

Question

First of all, I'm not trying to sound like an egomaniac, This is all true, and I'm simply stating facts so I can get the kind of answers I need.

Ok, I'm 18, I'm one of those people that is super confident for some reason or another, (I think my parents instilled that in me at an early age because I was overweight) at any rate, I really just like to have fun, I'm bubbly, sometimes a little bit crazy and I love people. So, here's my problem, If it even is a problem. I don't like for people to feel uncomfortable around me, So I'm as nice as I know how to be, and I try to make them laugh at least once while They're talking to me. Doesn't sound that bad yet huh? Ok, here's where the trouble starts, Turns out most of the people that I talk to are really kind of creepy. They don't start out that way, but they start to follow me, like they don't want to let me out of their sight, and it makes me nervous because I get claustrophobic because I'm 5' 9 1/2". And they stand so close to me that I can't see them when I'm talking to them without looking waaaay down and I've hit some of them in the face (unintentionally) with my elbow more than once when I'm turning around because they stand SO CLOSE. And no. They're not guys. They're always girls! Which is really creepy. I've had 2 girls follow me into the bathroom to hold my purse for me, instead of going and saving me a seat like I'd asked. I've quite literally had to wait until they finally look another direction (or get my best friend to distract them) and take off running. ...of course they always find me. Anyway, I just wanted to know if you guys could think up any possible reasons for this behavior? It's happened to me with numerous people, and I'm not bad looking, but I'm a GIRL for crying out loud, I know the boys that they crush on!! Why do they stalk me?

Oh yeah, and they all tend to lack in the social graces, like tact and hygene etc. And they are constantly a thorn in my side because my parents raised me to be polite and nice and friendly, which I suppose is why I've endured the people this long. Please help.

You're more popular than they are, and you're also nice. Why wouldn't they want to follow you around? They probably think they're being friendly. You need to set some boundaries with these girls. They're obviously not very social people, and so aren't experienced in the whole "friendship" thing. tell them what creeps you out. encourage them to make friends of their own and socialize with each other.

well i really dont know

if you want to get ride of them you accutally have to be mean sorry but that the truth.

Tell them to back up go away and  they will think you are mean but they stay away from you at least.

BUT you could also try teeling them in a nicer manner to but still say what you need to say dont be as harsh and all athast all I am saying.

and dont think its a bad thing to be nice it betetr then being a rude disliked person and all.

so yeah unfrountly you are going to have to be mean on this one
