Why Am I So Happy Today?

Question

Why am I so happy? My lovely wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl today. Doris Anne C. is 8.8lbs and 21 inches long. She was born at 12:23 PM in Germany. Mother and daughter are doing well...the 21/2 year old brother is quite jealous. Doris is a blessing from God. Why are you happy today?

Congratulations.  I am happy today because I get off in the next 1/2 hour and I have the next 3 days off from work for Labor Day and my son will be back home from vacation in a few days.

And the person picking on the name Doris deserves a smack. It's a great name. Big baby! My son was born underweight, because he was a late baby (10 months pregnant!) at 23 inches and just under 8lbs and everyone thought he was a giant baby....

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby daughter.  Babies are indeed a blessing from God.  I am happy after reading your announcement.  It always lifts my spirits to hear a beautiful baby has been born healthy and the mother is doing well.  I am also happy to know Doris has a family who will love and cherish her.  :)
