Why American police entice and entrap poor people.?

There are a lot of poor people in America with nobody and little government system to fall back on. So this leads to people becoming desperate. We in europe have a free health service, housing money and free money to live off. It's not much but it is a stable base from which a person can advance from. As i understand it, people in America don't even get medical attention unless they have insurance, never mind anything else. Upon watching cops last night, i saw the American police driving around in a limo to attract huckers. Then they nicked them. I don't understand how it can be legal to entice and entrap poor, desperate people who have no one or no back up in life from their governments in to committing crimes then arrest them for it. America prides it's self on liberty and free will, yet the police are exploiting the desperation of the poor.

  1. Fireball has a very good point. There are laws and they're there for a reason and to be followed. It just happens that some are poor or perceived as poor because they're caught doing the worst while at their worst. Not everything you see on TV is the "gospel". Many are arrested daily, covering the spectrum of society.

The American system is designed to help those who also help themselves. I believe, as well as others, that some need to hit rock bottom before they can succeed. Don't get me wrong, there are programs made for the underpriveleged to get help but not taken advantage of, for whatever reason. On the other hand, there are also those who abuse it or have no business using those same services and need to be caught and dealt with.

Law enforecement has to come up with ways to catch these very same people. This is what you're seeing on Cops, but not everyone is as bad off as they seem. Most of the time you're seeing the worst as it  makes for "good" TV.

  2. America is not the great country that people are led to believe. It's a facade. There are more people in prison here than any other country in the world, and when people get out they have no support to integrate them back into the community and keep them from re-offending. Stay in Europe.

  3. Well, This is how our goverment is set up on provoking problems instead of helping them.

    that's how they get paid.

  4. you are correct it is because of neglect the poor have so many problems, community action is the solution

  5. You know nothing. You sit and watch tv shows, films, movies, etc. I grew up in the inner city "ghetto". It's nothing like how you describe it. There was no police brutality, even though the cops were everywhere in the center of the city. If the police used force, they did it because they needed to. No one can deny you treatment if you go to the hospital. "Upon watching cops last night", yeah, that's the only life experience you have... watching tv.

We have enough idiots with the mentality you have here in the US. people who didn't grow up in the inner cities, but in the suburbs or upper class neighborhoods. They think they know what's best for poor people too. Soon enough we're going to have all of these great "human rights" laws for criminals, just like you. Forget the human rights of people who are killed, robbed, raped, stabbed, etc. Don't let the police do their jobs. Keep watching TV & acting like you know everything.

  6. i dont believe that....keep it clean and follow the laws...then there are no probs with cops..

  7. You are so right. They do make victims out of the poor and set them up.

This may not really be related but my husband used to be a cabbie in Vegas, he turned in his cab late night and was driving home. He came on to an accident where a man was lying dead in the road from a car crash. It was around 2am and earlier he had seen two cars drag racing.

Anyways one of the cars in the accident was a cab so my husband really slowed down to see if he could help out. Found out the guy unhurt in the cab was a cop luring people by racing them. He really killed that man in the street for no good reason.Of course we searched the news to find out more about it but seems to not of been reported to the media.

Edit:In Vegas there are many shift workers that work late, strange hours. My son used to be stopped all of the time when he worked nights in a casino on his way home. He was driving a big old black cadillac. We really do believe the cops are looking for people in old cars thinking they are either, drunks that they can take in or druggie's. My son thought they stopped him all of the time because he was driving a beater Cadillac and the cops probable thought he was a black guy to hassle. When the stopped himand saw he was white and wearing a suit, they let him go.Really messed up.He now works day shift and is never stopped while still driving the same old car.

  8. We are a country driven by greed.  Social services are pretty far down on our list of priorities.  And, cops prey upon the lower class because they are easy targets.  They know that the charges will stick.
