Why American sportspersons don't learn their mistakes ?

I wanted US to top medal table but China was way better than USA.This is because of following reasons:-

1.Sports In China is not based on Stars but on good sports system. That is why,USA which totally depends on stars is lagging behind China.Unknown Chinese athletes have done well because of their system.

2.Americans need to be more motivated and have team spirit like Chinese have.I have recently heard Amanda Beard saying That Phelps is not her taste.Psoing nude for playboy doesn't make her great swimmer but winning medals which she didn't.Phelps who almost was US one man army in Olympics is being treated like this Then US will not be able to beat China.

3.The biggest mistake done By USA is surely in athletics. They had chance to win medals but American stars were not at all motivated to win.How can anyone explain baton dropped twice by Americans in mega event ?This shows lack of team spirit.

I Hope USA learn his mistakes and do well in 2012 London Olympics.

  1. China's sports is based on forced training of kids at 3 years old

Amanda Beard was asked if she was dating him.....which has nothing to do with team spirit, or athletics in any way, and the reporter was at fault for that nonsense

the baton dropping was a mistake, looked like not enought practice....not lack of team spirit. Jamaica's Women dropped the baton in the final, not due to lack of team spirit, just nerves and making a mistake

What about the 4x400 relay, both USA men and women won Gold.

USA won more track and field GOld medals than any country

  2. I'm proud of them...no matter what

    You're just one opinion....

  3. Uh, Darnel beating Canada is not a herculean feat thus does not earn bragging rights. Sorry!

  4. i completely agree with verybadbard...spot on spot on.

dont forget the fact that they have 1.6bil and we have 300mil...

  5. Number one in overall medals shows not too many mistakes.  Hard to improve on #1.

  6. The first thing for American Sportsperson to learn is....HUMBLE

For their lost, they just made an excuse to complain. Really annoying. Face the fact. Lost at this time doesn't mean that you can't win after 4 years.

When they lost at Gymnast, they just complain the underage of China team.

When they lost at Short Run, they just complain the false start of Jamacian team.

Jesus, really sick to hear their complain.

  7. US beat GB, Australia and Canada in most events, that's pretty good.

  8. I have to admit that team USA was pretty arrogant going in and when they won. But as soon as they lost it was whinge whinge whinge. And what was with that woman on the US basketball team bringing her gold medals from previous olympics and wearing them while she was receiving her gold for the final. Jeez grow up children.

  9. team USA indulge themselves in thier luxuries a little too much. Its better to go back to the basics and teach them why are they athletes and who they are representing.

  10. I guess because they think that they know what they are doing and nothing is wrong with it. And I read this on Yahoo.... China pushes people from young age to start a sport that that person likes. That's why they are sooo good at everything they do.

But in the U.S, they tend to let the people have their own decision at whether they want to live a life of success or failure.

  11. 1) The US government doesn't kidnap 3 year olds and force them into playing a sport, then prevent them from seeing their family for 12 years. That is the oh so good Chinese sports system you are so proud of?! Good grief gravy train! We have a lil thing we call "freedom" here in the USA.

    2) If the government kidnapped me at age three and forced me to grow up with nobody but my teammates and coaches as my family unit...then I'd be all "rah rah" too. Here in the USA you are allowed to have your own opinion...good or bad...right or wrong...you are allowed to make up your own mind. Not that I agree with Amanda Beard's choices or words, but I'd defend to the death her right to make and say them.

    3) How about a bad case of nerves. That certainly would explain the baton being dropped twice much better than "lack of motivation or team spirit."

Funny, you didn't mention anything about sportsmanship...like Dara Torres, or any number of other US athletes that have shown great sportsmanship at these games.
