  1. this year china has the most gold.

  2. You probably just saw weak americans if they exist. first its being very stereotypical to say that and yes we do train hard.

  3. Darn straight Americans train harder for Olympic events.  Americans also have a great education system...you should come try that.

Oh, and by the way, I've seen many Europeans.  Little and wimpy compared to Americans.

  4. to say some thing before i answer... usa has won the most golds. (just an fyi for the person who said that china has won the most). We win so much because we have money and materials to train our Olympians. Also, since the US is a powerful country, good athletes from other countries to be part of our Olympic team.

  5. did they?!

i thought china won most of the gold medals

  6. they dont yesterday i read china has 13 golds.

  7. Thats cuz we train harder and are more dedicated to excel in competitions...

  8. because they are all high on drugs.... well at least their No. 1 in something

  9. china is in the lead as I write this

The athletes picked for the Olympic are the best the country has to offer.

    Sounds a little like jealousy....

  10. Europeans are very weak which is why they do so terrible in the Olympics, just look at the medal count.  Even China is doing better than the Europeans and they are all little.  Besides Europeans surrender easily too which is why Hitler was able to conquer most of it in a short period of time.

I've been to many countries in Europe and can say it's a dump.

  11. The question is wrong, and bigoted, but here's what might be a reasonable response.

Countries place different value on different sports and different competitions and therefore have different numbers of athletes competing. This doesn't just go for the olympics, but for cricket, rugby, soccer and virtually any other sport you'd care to mention. The higher the interest of the general populace, the more likely there will be people competing in a sport and the more likely that athletes with talent will be drawn to the popular sports.

When it comes to the olympics, there is an additional difficulty in that in addition to interest in the events all competitors must be "amateurs", which means that they need to acquire funding to attend without being paid directly to do so. This means that if a country does not have a governmental budget allocated for the purposes of supporting olympic competitors, or if the budget isn't sufficient to support a large contingent of athletes, the chances of winning large numbers of medals decreases dramatically.

The countries that traditionally sent the largest number of athletes to the olympics tended to be superpowers, given that they had the largest budgets and the largest emotional stakes in having a high medal tally by comparison with other countries and particularly other superpowers.

Given that the olympic budgets available in the USA and China, both countries have more available funds to be able to pay for training and trips to the olympics. Because of this, it is likely that one or the other will have the highest number of any given medal.

  12. Are you on crack? I was born in America, but I now live in Switzerland and travel all around Europe. Without trying I am pretty sure I could win a Switzerland's strongest man contest, cross the border and do the same in France the next day. The rest of the Western European countries aren't much better.

Brits won't admit it, but they are built just like Americans (fatter than most countries), but they don't work out like many Americans do.

It is almost impossible to find a gym with decent weightlifting equipment in Europe.

  13. americans win the most gold medals because we are beast, plus we have more athletes competing in the Olympics then any other country, like 643.. the higher the number of athletes the higher percentage we have for winning.

  14. Because our training centers are modernized with state of the art equipment, expert coaches and dedication to excelling in the sports represented by the US in the Olympic Games.

In the past, drug testing was not prevalent so the Soviet Bloc countries as well as some Asian countries used steroids freely and that's why they won most of the strength and speed related gold medals.  Now, it's a different story where everyone gets a chance to compete and win (not only the USA) because of the strict drug testing given to the athletes.  It's a more even playing field, but sadly the countries with not much modernized training facilities will still lag behind in performance.

  15. They have the most medals but not the most gold.  China is leading the gold.

  16. i wouldnt say little an wimpy. id say fat an annoying. they train harder to disguise doping
