I honestly believe that many Canadians either suffer from an inferiority complex vis-a-vis the Americans OR they are plain jealous of the fact that America is presently the sole super-power on earth. This is because the Americans (victorius British) and the Canadians (defeated British) were the same people basically, but the defeated British got left behind - they were incapable of winning a gold medal even when the Olympics were held on their own soil, etc.
Even if the U.S. is not in the top categories according to the CIA World Factbook, who really cares? Despite the problems America has at the moment, the majority of Americans are still eating, still going to school and working, still going out, still have s*x, still living their lives. There are people from all over the world still risking life and limb to go there, even using Canada as a back door to the U.S.A. I'm pretty sure the immigrants looking to start a new life in the U.S.A can't afford Internet access to look up those CIA facts and even if they were able to, it would not deter them.
Sibling rivalry never gets old. You resent big brother so much until someone's kicked your *** or you need money or a place to stay then it's the same big brother you run to for help. Reminds me of a funny show on CBS.
Always bickering about how someone lives their life when it's their entitlement. You should be thankful you are living along the longest and unprotected border in the world. If Canada were bording any other country it would have been renamed "Canadistan". But seriously, you should watch the show or are you afraid you'll see the striking resemblance between yourself and Charlie's whiny, insecure, stuttering little brother?
