Why Are Cemeteries Worst to Visist On Halloween Night?

why is it this night of all nights?

Halloween is, according to Druidic traditions, a day when the veil between our world and the others is especially weak.  This means there will be more ghosts appearing, as it is the place of their dead bodies.  That is, assuming you think ghosts have nothing better to do than wander aimlessly about a cemetery on one night where they can more easily manifest. >_<  Personally, I don't think any more energy will be cemeteries, specifically. . .

Because it is supposed to be the night when the spirits return to Earth. And some legends say that meeting up with a dead person will mean your death as well.

You must live in the United States because in most countries that celebrate All Saints, All Souls, Halloween or any version of these holidays this is when you are supposed to go to the graveyard. Graves are cleaned and decorated, candles lit, and sometimes items are left as offerings and picnics are held. A small number of people in the U.S. do this too.

It's because people associate cemeteries with ghosts, and ghosts are a staple of Halloween.  That's the only reason they seem spookier.  They aren't really.

October 31 is all hallows eve (aka day of the dead) it is the first day of the pagan new year and when the sprit world is closest to ours and cemetarys and churchs (the grounds anyway) are procived as holy ground and therefor easier for the sprits to be seen at these locals, how ever the pagans beleived that the sprits traveled all over and would light haystacks on fire for them to see along the way to where ever they were going (to see family to where died etc)

so i dont think the souls would hang out in the cemetary but iron fences are placed around them to keep them in (alot of churchs with catacombs and mourges)

but it could all be because your mind is making you scared because you think the sprits are going to attack you...its hard enough for a ghost to be seen forget it interacting with you
