Why Are Flys Attracted to My Room?

Question

If I open my window, flys will come in. At the end of the day, 5 or more will be buzzing around my room. What could be attracting these flys? What are some ways of getting rid of them ?(not by closing the window).

Also, to escape the heat of outdoors.

Consider getting a screen of the window openning.

turn off all the lights in your room and turn on a light that's close but out of your room.  keep your door open and they'll fly out.

Some spray that makes your room smell better and maybe clean it if its dirty. and if you have a dog then maybe your dog is causing it. but flies usually only come when a place is filthy or stinky. no im not trying to criticize im telling you the truth

are you on a second floor with gutters above your window? if so, maybe there is some dead stuff like a bird in the gutter, as far as keeping them out, that's a tough one

if this is my Brother Dan then try cleaning up your room you dirty bugger!!! LOL If its not my brother then I dont know do you keep your room clean or are you like my Dan and leave food on plates around for months cos that could be it!!

Flys are probley attracted to your room because there might be dirty clothes or shoes etc... flys like smelly dirty things. keep your room clean wash your clothes don't lay them on the floor.

the smell of your room could smell like food and the flies are attracted to the smell of food.  The best way to get rid of these creatures are to use a fly swatter or use a spray that will kill them.

Those sticky fly strips usually work pretty good.  You could hang one inside and outside, they have no odor so they can be hung inside your house...just kinda ugly, but they work!  Also, keep all food and drinks in kitchen, but I am sure you have thought of that!  Also they like dirty laundry, keep them in covered hamper!  Good luck!

they might be breeding somewhere close near your window. Check for magets which turn into flys and spray some raid out there. Get a screen on your window and get rid of any food or drink that they mind want you to share with them.

Its just what they do, like when a wasp flys in, they dont mean to, they just get sidetracked along the way and bounce of the window for a while, xx

ok stop being stupid and get an ac unit and close the window! if you are too cheap then get a screen then you dont' have to close the window to keep them out! Ha look i used my brain try it

Does your room have a smell?? You may want to look in your room for something old that may be attracting them...

keep all food and garbage out of your room

and maybe spray some of that super strong bug spray around your window,

or put a bug killer candle thingy outside your window on the sill.
