  1. that isnt true, and even if it was, it makes sense, without a manager, you can still play, although it might be a little unorganized without a coach

but without players, there is no game AT ALL

  2. the players, because they actually are the ones who have to play the sport, so they work harder.

  3. the footballers because they have to make the plays that the manager calls

  4. becuase the manager only manages the team so if the manager makes subs he gets paid for that and that only becuase its the players who win the game to give the manager a reputation, like chelsea when they one 2 premier league titles as soon as there manager quit due to the owner telling him to put players he likes in certian positions, the team went downhill, its all due to the chemistry aswell, the friendship between the whole team

  5. To-day's football managers do very well as Sven might be able to show you so don't think the guy on the pitch is getting it all

  6. Footballers work harder because the footballers is who playing not the manager.

  7. Their not. The managers make alot more although i think it should be the other way around.

  8. well when becks used to play for man u i heard he got 60 grand a week

  9. because at the end of the day the manager isnt the 1 who puts the ball in the back of the net

  10. I think that they are about on equal pay.

2 sides of the coin on this question

1/ players are the ones that makes things happen on the pitch, whether they are told how to do it or not

    but

2/ the manager picks the team that gels best and creates tactics that will allow the players the opportunity to show their skills in the best possible light.

You also have to look at the person who takes the flak if results arent what the supporters want, its the manager, so high pressure positions such as this need to be paid accordingly. Any player can sit on a bench and pick up 40k a week, what pressure is that??

We dont see the long day to day running that these managers do to make sure that the whole club is running at the correct professional level, from fitness to housing of youth players, to contracts to having to deal with foreign chairman.

My opinion is that managers should be paid more than players.

  11. are they? im not sure about that.
