You hear it all the time. Someone praying for Divine intervention. But yet some prayers are not answered? Even though the people are devoted in what they believe in? Why is that? Is someone sleeping on the job?

  1. no GOD is not sleeping on the job.........prayers are answered in GODS timing not yours .......... a righteous mans steps are guided by the Lord

A person gets prayers answered by their Faith in Christ ...........by your faith you are healed

  2. Every prayer done in the state of selflessness is answered.

  3. Sometimes the answer is no, but they are all answered.

I myself have prayed for things that now I see would have ruined my life.  My mother used to say, "be careful what you pray for you just might get it."

  4. Let me give you an example:  When your children ask you for something what might be the answer:

    1.  Yes

    2.  Maybe later

    3.  You need to wait

    3.  No

    4.  You do not understand, you need to learn more

    5.  Be patient

    6.  You are not listening

    7.  You do not want to accept my answer

    8.  You do not see the whole picture, I love you, trust me.

Now, think of God your Heavenly Father who know so much more than we do.  He sees the whole picture.  He loves us, and wants what is best for us, but we do not always see things as he does. He sees beyond this short life and into the eternities we are as children or infants in our knowledge and wisdom compared to him.  Now consider his answers to you, are they not the same as those listed above?

    1.  Yes

    2.  Maybe later

    3.  You need to wait

    3.  No

    4.  You do not understand, you need to learn more

    5.  Be patient

    6.  You are not listening

    7.  You do not want to accept my answer

    8.  You do not see the whole picture, I love you, trust me.

I also think that many times he is giving us the answer but because we are far from him in thoughts and actions that pull us away from his Holy Spirit that we can not hear what he is trying to tell us.

I know from personal experience that God answers prayers and that he loves us.  Never doubt that, have faith in him and trust him.  He will not abandon you, but will you abandon him?

  5. Every prayer is answered, no matter what... only sometimes the answer isnt what you were hoping for, and therefore you may see it as being 'unanswered'... open yourself to truth, and you will always find the answer.

  6. "And how about our  prayers?

    If we have not intention

of hearing what God has to say to us,

how can we expect Him to listen

to what we have to say to Him?"

FAITHING IN GOD IS OUR ANSWER!

    GOD BLESS!   AMEN!    SHALOM

  7. Well if you watch Bruce Almighty you'll know that if who ever answers prayers, if indeed they are, granted all prayers then no one would be happy. Surely in that regard there'd be conflicting wants and how could you grant them all?

My own view would be that in general people are not the best judge on what is best for them. If all payers were answered then we'd probably end up in more of a mess than we are already.

  8. Prayers are not always answered immediately.

Prayers may and actually are often not answered in the manner we want or expect because we don't know how to pray correctly (that is why the Holy Spirit is our intercessor).

Since God is omniscient, He makes the best decision on how to answer our prayers (we don't even see the tiniest fraction of the "big picture")

Prayers are not answered if they go against God's divine and perfect will.

I could pray for everyone in the world to have a third arm within the next 5 seconds but it would not happen because it would be against God's will (God created and designed the human body perfectly).

  9. Because they are not legitimate

  14. Billions of prayers are made everyday. Use your common sense.

  15. We see things only from our own perspective. Sometimes, we ask for things before the time is right. Sometimes we ask for things that are actually contrary to Divine Will, but we don't realize it yet. Sometimes we ask for things that might be aligned with Divine will in a particular way, but God asks us to go without in order to accomplish something truly wonderful in "the big picture." Sometimes, we need to be denied in order to deepen our faith and reliance on God.

Having faith in God doesn't mean you have it easy or that everything will always go your way. And the purpose of prayer is not to get what you want, but to deepen your relationship with the Lord.
