  1. I am sorry but I dont agree.  I think quads are quite dangerous and unpredictable and much rather see my sons doing Supercross on the bikes they have than trying to race a quad.  The thing is here in Australia people tend to race quads simply as they don't seem to have the ability to ride a race bike so they go to the quads.  Therefore you have people with no ability on them.  Very silly machines!

And you just have to read Havana's answer to get my drift on people without ability riding quads.  No need to say more!

  2. first off you need to change the title to " Why quads are more dangerous than dirtbikes"

    thats just my opinion.

  3. Wow you have been seriously mislead dude. The fatality and serious injury rate is way higher on ATV's. One reason is that the 4 wheels give a false sense of stability so people tend to not wear a helmet as often. The other reason has to do with the mechanics of how you fall on an ATV versus a motorcycle. A 4 wheeler because of it's physics and weight slams you into the ground with much more force when you high side compared to a dirt bike. Also an ATV is more likely to end up on top of you whereas the dirt bike tends to slide away from you in a high side. This is a pretty well known and documented fact. Your teacher obviously didn't do their homework.

  4. hmm, I don't know of many advantages really, easier to ride in mud/snow is about it.  Any other time I'd rather be on a more maneuverable dirt bike then a quad, especially in the woods.

  5. I think quads are more fun in the sand and snow, but every where esle, the bike is better......

  6. Quads are death traps for kids.

  7. that is easy they are not. more kids are killed on quads than dirtbikes every year. a better essay would be on how to make parents responsible for the safety of their children on either.

  8. if your not racing than go with a quad you dont  have all the ruts to fall in and les chance of falling off and you will be more fearful of riding a fouwheeler than a dirt bike because of size and weight

  9. Personally I think dirt bikes are better than quads.

They're easier to control for you mostly lean instead of turning the actual handle bars. Like other's have said, quads are good for snow or like mud bogging, and that's about it.

Plus if you jump them you have to worry about landing all 4 wheels on the ground correctly, with a bike you just jump and keep it level, tons easier. Bikes are lighter and easier to handle.

Don't get me wrong, quads are fun, but I've been riding dirt bikes since about 6 and I find them much easier to control.

  10. So you  dint fall off as much and there easy er to controle

  11. Hi I personaly think that quads are more stable, easier, funner to ride. One time my cousion bought is quad bike when we all went camping when i was little and we were driving it up and down the tents then we got told off by a visitor at the campsite saying "this is not a race track blah blah blah" I think that quads are the ones that pretty much anyone of all ages can ride really. although i like to ride my dads px200 Vespa.
