  1. have you been feeding him chewing gum, not really hes building a bubble nest and just waiting for you to give him a woman

  2. They do that when they are happy with their living conditions (or when they see a female and want to mate), so congrats!  You're an awesome betta owner!!  I wouldn't recommend putting a female in with him though, they'll probably fight, and if they do breed you'll end up with lots of babies and you'll have to separate them all out so they won't fight so eventually you would end up with tanks of males separated all over your house which is a lot of work to take care of.

  3. Maybe he's trying to give you a hint by building a bubble nest!  ;)

  4. He's a happy betta.  He is building a bubble nest.

  5. He is building a bubble nest.  Male bettas do it not only when a female is around but also anytime they are content in their environment.   He is just letting you know he is happy with environment you have given him.

  6. check and make sure the water is not to warm this sometimes cause bubbles...take your net and burst the bubbles then see if they come back...

  7. Your male betta is building a bubblenest.  It doesn't matter if there is a female present or not.  Male bettas will blow bubbles when they are happy and they build a bubblenest when they are of breeding age and in good health and condition to breed.  It just means you have a happy, healthy betta in prime breeding condition.  It doesn't mean he is looking for a female or needs or even wants to breed, it's just an instinctive thing he does at this stage of his life.

  8. He's building a bubble nest. You'll see him do it every now and then, it means he is ready to mate. But I wouldn't suggest mating him, its pretty difficult. You have to take out the female immediately after they mate, and eventually you'll have to separate her from the babies, then the babies from each other, and before you know it, you have 20 fish bowls in your room.
