Whatever On-field antics they have, they are great human beings Off-field.

Steve Waugh has opened in ashram In Kolkatta (India) for orphans and see that These orphans have bright future.

During 2006 Champions trophy Adam Gilchrist has sponsored a poor child and will give money for his education.

Mcgrath,Gilchrist and Symonds have also played a vital role in Cancer Foundation research.Other players has also done great things.

But what Indian Cricketers has done ? i have never heard anything done from these cricketers who are richest In world.

Dhoni has 12 bikes, many endorsement but has he ever done any great thing that Australians have done.

We might be Champions of cricket but we can be great human beings only when we give due to these cricketers who have given a ray of light to Poor children here whose future was in darkness.

  1. There is no doubt that the Aussies play the game hard, all Aussies do, we are taught to play that way at school and in the grades.  Some of the fiercest games are the Aussie v Aussie games.  There is also no doubt that this can offend players and onlookers who take a more genteel view of the game.  However hard approach this only extends to the game of cricket and for the most not into their personal lives.  So the things that you have mentioned about Waugh and McGrath et al is not surprising but is a reflection of their off-field personalities.

I can't comment about the Indian players as I don't know about their off-field activities or personalities.  However you do make and interesting point.

  2. I often wonder about this, as I find Aussies to be very friendly, genuine and open people since coming here to live. I admire their sense of fair play and good sportsmanship, but woe betide you if you insult their teams or country. They are fiercely loyal. i also know of the charity work most of them do, and believe me overseas players 'efforts' pale in comparison. Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Brett Lee are very generous with time and money.

  3. There are certain users in here who do nothing but Constantly rubbish the Aussie players,Ricky Ponting and Andrew Symonds in particularly..I am sick and tired of hearing these certain users calling them stupid names and putting them down..

Yes we Aussies retaliate, but we are not the ones who started this. There is 1 certain user who can not get over the Sydney test so he does nothing but put us all down..

Yes our boys do plenty to help various charities.Gee even Bad Boy Shane Warne has his own foundation that spends hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on charity..It would be good if more players could support various charities, especially in India,as India has many more millions than us here in Australia...

But hey some like to be money hungry and keep their multi millions to themselves..

But that's not the Aussie way...

  4. Sucker(OZ) What a bunch of bolony you talk. Now this is the kind of user the asker is speaking about! Still hasn't got over the Aussie test series & is willing to slur the good name of the team because of his inability to cope with it.And the other user who said Australians were criticized  by ALL other countries? Check your facts, who other than yourselves or your biased media has ever made that claim? No-one, that's who. This kind of sh-t stirring is what caused all the trouble in this section in the first place. If you can't speak the truth, then say nothing at all!

  5. You never know whats in the heart of a genius. For the past seven years, our very own Sachin Tendulkar has been involved in social service and charity without the knowledge of the press! What a greatness!

Sachin Tendulkar just revealed that he had been involved with Apnalaya in Mumbai since the last seven years, and he sponsors 200 kids every year for their schooling and tuition. We would never have come to know about this - he had to disclose this because he wanted other people to join in the noble cause and by revealing his little secret, it would be as a source of geniune inspiration to everyone! No wonder, this guy has shown his mettle in almost every aspect of his life...his face has always reflected decency at the same time (controlled ) agression, sportsmanship, humility, patriotism (he is one player who really plays to make India win!), and now KINDNESS AND HUMANITY!!!

India is proud of Sachin, its little gem! ’’

Indian players do do alot of charity, they just don't show it.

Dhoni is still new he is just spending his money on luzary items but he will soon also begin charity when he becomes more mature.

Indian players do chairty aswell, the only differece is that Aussies do in the spotlight and the Indians don't. =]

  6. I haven't really seen non-Indian criticizing  Also users from all over the world and also some Indians think that BCCI is a threat to Cricket and ruin this sport.

Yes there is long list Shailesh there are many Aussie players, people say that they play for money , they are beggars, their Board is not that rich but still there are many players who have helped poor and handicaps. And yes I agree that the rich Indian players haven't really done much and I strongly believe that we should stop insulting and criticizing Aussies

The biggest problem is that they are white if any Sri Lankan or Pakistani says something then people just ignore it and forget it but even if an Aussie calls an Indian stupid (even if he really is)then it is racism

Its all about misunderstanding I hope this question makes the anti-Aussies understand that Aussies are not really that bad

Edit - yes it is Media's fault also but it doesn't mean that others are innocent .

  7. I don't criticise them. If someone criticise others it just shows how much they're bothered about them. Most Indian users do not really care much to criticise except a few (or maybe its just one) who are spoiling India's reputation by doing that. Pls dont think all Indians do that.

  8. Dey airheads

  9. Its the only the fault of media , after all we get all the news from news channels & print media. They heat up & add spice to india & aussie always. We r not on the field ,,,,thats why we cant criticise any player bcoz we don know the truth.

Indian & australian players always show a good contest in respect of cricket & cricket lovers.

  10. I' am sorry.......but I don't think I criticise them much................

abt Indian cricketers...............all the good human beings in the team has done something or the other for the under-privileged..........eg. Rahul, Sachin, Irfan etc

  11. see we dont critisize them off field...we just critisize them on field...they just dont behave in a proper manner..

they are the hosts so they should behave warmly though i know that while playing everybody loses control...

and you are saying that we critisize but our player got the severe punishment afterall and not to an australian player....

if you were an indian you would be at indian side and would speak for india but as you are from australia you are on their side...

so everybody takes side for their country...

  12. Not only Indian but all the cricket playing nations are criticising the Australian players...........ONLY FOR THEIR ON_FIELD BEHAVIOR...........

No one have the right to criticise others personal life.........

  13. Do give credit where they are due. All our top Indian Cricketers do a lot of Charity starting with Sachin and Sourav.

Think you are confused and know little about India and Indians. Thay are great human beings too.

We have nothing against Aussies you have mentioned.

Just tell us what you find wrong here. Kindly do not generalise.

  14. jealousy

  15. Maybe Indians do it and don't publicize it the way the others did. I do not mean any offense to any Australian around here. They've done great deeds. If maybe Shailesh you didn't know half the Indian side come from extremely poor backgrounds........... Ange maybe mistaken.

  16. im a nutural person.. from pakistan.. and im regular user of yahoo answers.. i think from both coutries people pin each other  for stupid reasons.... one from srilanka also do this same... ask valid question and raise points to discuss... my wish

  17. OZ started all this c**p, blame him, not other Indians here.
