Frankly i think BJP dont want Mayavati to be priminister or any strong party in opposition except congress which may create any problem for them in future.

It was not a support from the party but some personality who  moneymised their oppertunity.

Yes BJP actually supported the win of UPA by hoisting the cash bundle drama just before voting, so that more supports go to UPA, and also many BJP MPs were absent from voting. The reasons behind this are:

1. Election is only 10 months away, so no need to distabilise the govt. as BJP is not yet fully ready for the election campaign.

2. If UPA lose the trust vote, Mayawati will be the PM, which BJP don't want

congress..! is bothered abt d pogress and development of people and country..!!

whereas bjp wants power and wants to rule d country.!!

there is no unity in bjp.!!!

many in bjp wants d pm seat..!!!!!!

and nuclear deal was for d good of india.!!! almost many indians supported it..!!!!! it puts india a step ahead..!!!

and bjp din wan tht happen during congress reign coz it will increase the trust for congress among people..!!!!

They extended indirect support to Congress because they want to prevent Mayayati who is PM waiting candidate !
