The industry is servile to the legacy of the past. The Hindustani film industry is unwilling to break the umblical cord that everything else in Bharat seems to be servile about...the legacy of its past.

Probably Indians wanted to have one short name for their film production Industry, that would get them the same fame as Hollywood. Since Hollywood is the most sought after destination for American film production, It might have been decided for Bo - (Ho) llywood.

Even the regional movie production states are adopting the name (llywood) to name their film industry.

I saw a film on that once.  I think they named it Bollywood because it was their Hollywood, but since it was in Bombay and had different attitudes on s*x in movies, that they'd change it from Hollywood to Bollywood for the name.  They do wonderful movies, just no blatant sexuality.
