Pay no attention to richard c i find that he is just rambling on without reading the facts.mike tyson was so cruel and harsh because he knew that's what scared other fighters.Ali used the same tactic but in a different way.they new that if people think your crazy they will be afraid.He was 2 time heavyweight champ and beat fighters like larry holmes,trevor berbick,frank bruno,razor ruddick and micheal spinks.he knocked out most of the people he fought.sure he wasn't the greatest but he is definitely one of the greats.in his prime he defended his title 9 times.thats really good.

Tyson only won the heavyweight crown once in his whole career. he did win several belts during his reign but never really lived up to his true potential. his boxing skills were lack luster but he did have some great potential. He was predictable with his punches and never defeated anyone of interest
