Why British Columbia is called Beautiful British Columbia?

Hi!

I have some questions pls answer me and u will make me a day.

Does anyone know why BC is called beautifull BC? Is BC really Beauty?

How can I download some pics from BBC(Beautifull British Columbia) and also Canada?

and I have also another question, I have heard that Canadians are too kind and also don't lock the doors of their homes!!!, is this true?

any comments is extremely appreciated.

The B.C. Government introduced the saying "Beautiful British Columbia. But...if you want to see paradise come to B.C. It has mountains reaching into the sky, it has oceans pounding its shore line, it has lakes in any size, it has good roads, its scenery is comparable to that of Switzerland, France, Germany, Holland and other countries all contained in one province. In some areas one can leave their doors unlocked but I should not advice that. Crime is present Even in beautiful B.C. Go to any search stations and type Vancouver, B..C. and you'll get your answer.

I would not live anywhere else then here in this fabulous Province. It is the best in the world.

I suspect the "beautiful" part was just added to increase tourism.  Check out the link below.  As for leaving doors unlocked - I'm sure there are places in Canada that are so rural and void of crime that people feel safe leaving their doors unlocked.  There are places like that in the US, although probably not as many.

"Beautiful BC" is merely a publicity slogan.  Go to the places where clear-cutting has ruined the forests and tell me how beautiful that is.
