  1. get your facts right hippy! then come back!

  2. Get your facts straight lib-tard.  The US was more than within it's rights to attack Saddam under the UN resolution 1441 (don't if I correctly recall the actual number).  Saddam has had 18 resolutions legislated by the UN, all of which he routinely violated.  So before asking controversial questions, make sure you have your facts straight.  Otherwise you end up asking stupid questions like this one and make yourself look woefully ignorant and foolish.

  3. Rice is all but useless-witness her diplomatic skills. She's surely smart as h**l but she's a Black Woman who isn't about to do anything bold for fear of rocking the boat. The perfect dupe for a Bush Presidency. Boy can Cheney pick 'em. The thing that worries me is Obama's reluctance to use nukes if necessary-without this possibility he may be as weak as another Carter. That's about the only thing that the Republican hawks are good for-by way of intent only, thank God. This world is surely not a friendly place but it is largely of our own doing.

  4. Very true, my friend. Just today, Bush spoke on TV criticizing Russia for invading a sovereign nation and for wanting to bring down the democratically elected leader of Georgia. It could have been better if Bush spoken those words while facing himself in front of the mirror. I am not saying that what Russia did was right. But look who is talking. This is a man who himself invaded two sovereign nations (Iraq, Afghanistan), refused to recognize some democratically elected leaders (Iran, Syria, Palestinian Hamas), whose intelligence agency even plotted to assasinate a democratically elected leader (Hugo Chavez of Venezuela).

Just yesterday, Bush heavily criticized Russia for responding with dis-proportionate military force against Georgia. Then again, look who is talking. The force used by Russia is nothing compared to Bush's "Shock and Awe" bombardment of Iraq, and yet he never thought of his own actions as dis-proportionate. I also remember two years back when Bush had spoken to defend Israel's actions of carrying out large-scale bombings of Lebanon's cities (airports, bridges, high-ways, oil-storage depots, and even some hotels, not to mention the clearly marked UN peacekeepers outpost) in respone to Hezbollah's kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers. Yet it never crossed his mind to call such actions as dis-proportionate.

It's no wonder why nobody pays attention to whatever Bush says anymore, nor take his words seriously. Bush himself had brought down America's credibility around the world with his eight years of faulty foreign policy. He had become the subject of caricatures appearing in most newspapers around the globe.

I can't fail but notice that despite Bush's rhetorics against Russia, his main allies (Great Britain, Germany, France and many other NATO nations) remain so conspicuously silent. Not a single one of them spoke in condemnation of Russia's actions. It is obvious that this time, they are very cautious about being dragged by the US into yet another war.

Russia just playes with words, idonno if u watched one representative from Moscow, when the reporter asked them whats should be done from the gorvernment of Georgia, they backed off and stopped shooting and announces a cease-fire.. and that Russian said its not about Georgia and Russia, its about Goergia and South Ossetia, funny where is South ossetia? they dont have troops thay dont have a government, rediculos how they avoided answer to that question!

now i can understand the government of georgia, its impossible to negotiate with russia! even the western countries cant to that coz of the Russian understanding of Democracy and liberalism

  8. because neocons think they are a supreme race that have a right to control the world. i'm sorry but it's true and it's called HYPOCRISY. i know too many neocons and they are destroying this country and wreaking havoc in the world.

also, to the person who came up with the brilliant word "lib-tard." please keep in mind that it is not only liberals who are against arrogant neo-conservative policy, but it is also paleo-conservatives who want this country to return to what it was founded upon who are against this arrogance and bonehead foreign policy.

if you studied history you would see that george washington, thomas jefferson and dwight eisenhower were among many influential americans who warned us against this mindset and behavior.

  9. Russia won this one day war a long time ago they're now punishing them. That is the reason Why we're telling Russia to stop.

  10. Differences between Georgia and Iraq

1.Georgia is controlled by a stable government, attempting to enforce it's sovereignty over it's own territory(Yes, South Ossetia and Abkhazia are part of Georgia, they are not legal governments, with outside recognition.)

Iraq was run by a ruthless dictator who invaded a sovereign country and oppressed his own people.

2.Iraq was a known terror-supporting nation(I'm not saying they funded 9/11, but did in fact support terrorist operations against us)

Georgia is a major player in the War on terror, and helps with security in Iraq(or did before the Russians invaded)

3.Iraq had enough of a casus belli against it, since it has broken ceasefire agreements, each of which was supposed to bring us back into war with Iraq during the Clinton administration. It was also well known by both it's allies and every intelligence agency to be pursuing WMDs

Georgia was attacking a breakaway faction(2 actually) to preserve it's country, in the same sense we did in the War between the States. It was under every legal right to do so, Russia decided it would pull a Hitler strategy of proclaiming those in Georgia, Russian citizens, to use as a "Self-Defense" claim.

Russia isn't "resisting" anybody, they are the aggressor here, for invading a sovereign nation that abides by international law.
