Why Can't Emos and Goths Mix?

Do we just have different outlooks on life through our music or whats the deal?

Only douche bags can't look past other people's clothing/musical tastes, etc, in my opinion.

I think Goths are a little too sarcastic and close knit for most other groups. I used to hang out with them and they always laughed at Emos and called them ridiculous. Goths usually call most people except Goths ridiculous, but they're still quite friendly.

Lets see, the dramatic change in music, style, the fact that most emo's I've talked to are fairly stupid. That's the tall and short of it.
