No one used to come close to beating him and now he's losing to everyone. How does this happen? I didn't watch tennis when Sampras was playing until the very end but I think the same happened to him when he also couldn't win any more and he finally won the U.S. Open and retired.

  1. I think he lost confidence and the law of averages catching up at the worst possible time. I don't have hopes for him in the us open but i m pretty sure he'll be back next year after he's had some time out to reassess himself and sort out all his issues.

  2. Federer is just in a slump, it happens. Remember Agassi's slump when he fell to almost # 150 in the world. ????  With a motivating coach and a tweaking of his game, there is no doubt in my mind that he will regain his form of old !!!! Still love my Fed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. he has lost his touch

  4. don't be cruel to the man, he has been going through the most difficult times in his career and maybe himself doesn't know what to do.

James Blake played very well and he deserves to win....maybe Roger needs a very good coach to take him out of this ordeal and strengthen his mental factor and kill off his weakness points in his game.

I am sure he is gutted but this is what a sport all about....He used to beat his opponents so many times and maybe now it's their turn to do the same.

sometimes you can't change the fate, maybe he needs to improve his passing shots and his first service which caused him the match today.

Be with your star in good times and bad ones, this is how sincere and true fans are.

I am very angry and sad but I know it's out of his hand and he tried his best to win but sometimes when you find your opponent plays like a monster you can't do anything.

Good luck for your Roger in the upcoming matches and he needs our prayers in his worst ever year.

I am sure once he wins a big title he will restore his self-confidence and he will come back strong like before.

  5. everyone is just as shocked as u u are!

federers days of dominance of come to a big halt....

who knows the reason why... could be his game is not what it was in 2007/2006..

he could be melting down under pressure these days.. does not have the mental toughness that he use to have...

other players have gotten better with there games, and improved there mental toughness..

and i certainly think federer will not win the US OPEN.. i would pick 3 players before him...

watch out for Nadal, Djovick, possibly Andy Murray and Gasquet...

  6. off-form.
