Question:

Why Can't I Hear Anything From My Speakers?

I have a Kenwood Kdc-119 and I am currently re doing the entire sound system. I had some speakers in there before this and they were fine...Now I bought brand new speakers and they dont make any noise. I have already checked to make sure that the positive was hooked up to the positive and Negative to the negative. Now I am also installing a Bazooka Amp and I did plug the RCA cables into the output plugs already without them being plugged into the amp yet. And the amp is to only power my sub, no speakers. But the wierd thing is this...my neighbor shut the passenger and the cd that was in the head unit started to play and I could hear all of the speakers then he opened it and it stopped and it never came back on. But could my RCA wires not being plugged to anything affect the sound not coming from my speakers...and will I have this issue again when I hook the wires up once the amp is installed? Also do I need to send the remote wire from the amp to the blue wire from the h/u?
