Why Canada does not have satellite?

I currently live in Canada and I always see that in Canada does not allowed have a satellite with American's channel and stuffs.

Why Canada does not have satellite? But only cable Cogeco which shows mostly Canadian channel and satellite shows the channels from whole world.

Because the Canadian govornment restricts what you can recievee. I've heard that canadians can buy american eqipment on Ebay and recieve things just fine but don't quote me on that.

because why do they need satalites when theres about 75,000 satalites around the wolrd. and thats true i searched it up im doing my science homework which sucks dunno why im telling you thisbut i have :P

There are two satellite TV providers in Canada - Bell ExpressVu and Star Choice.  There are American channels available on both systems.

I dont know but what do you do in canada for fun? Is it boring?
